SUMMARY:Workshop - Anita Hardison - Disappearing Pinwheel
DESCRIPTION:\nDISAPPEARING PINWHEELS\nTo make a Table Runner approximately
 40" x 20".\nSupplies\nFABRIC\n½ m. of a light background fabric or two fa
 t quarters. Or 8 - 9" squares.\n½ m. of med to dark focus fabric or two f
at quarters. Or 8 - 9" squares of one or more fabrics.\nThis is a great sc
rap buster if you like the look of scrap quilts.\nYou can cut 4 squares fr
om one fat quarter. So. . 2 fat quarters each for background and/or focus
would work here. (Keep the background light but it doesn’t have to all b
e the same if you are planning a scrap version.)\nOR - YOU CAN USE 10" PRE
CUT SQUARES. The project will be a little bigger and the math will be a li
ttle different.\nOR - you can of course use yardage to cut your squares\,
either 9" or 10". You will need at least 21-22" by WOF to cut 8 squares of
the same fabric at 10".\n\n**I chose 9" because it makes it easy to use f
at quarters.\nThere is no need to do any prep work but if you desire you c
ould precut your squares just to speed up the process.\nTo make this table
runner you will need extra fabric for the binding and backing. Approximat
 ely 130" binding.\nTOOLS\n18" x 6" ruler\n12 ½" square rule with a diagon
 al line.\nScissors\, rotary cutter with a sharp blade\, sewing machine\, m
achine needles and thread\, Cutting mat.\nYou will be constructing 8 squar
es\, cutting them up and rearranging them into 8 new squares. These will t
hen be madeinto our table runner - or possibly 4 place mats. Or maybe you
will be so entranced by the possibilities that you will go on making more
and have a quilt top when you are done. That part will be up to you the de
 signer.\nHAPPY QUILTING\n&nbsp\;
